In July 2023 Bowen Stud Cattle held their annual bull sale on their property just past the small country town of Barraba NSW.
The family-owned operation kindly donated a Angus Bull (Lot 144) to be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds being split evenly between three special charities (The Stuart Peake Memorial Cancer Research Trust, The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Ruby Mae’s Wish).
There was a lot of interest in the charity bull with bidders travelling across the country with the intention of supporting the charity bull and the Bowen Stud Cattle annual sale, which was the second sale without their trusty little side kick and helper “Ruby”.
The Charity bull was purchased via the action for $10,000 by Alan & Narelle Taylor from Bramble, Moree.
Nutrien Livestock also generously donating an additional $2,000 towards Ruby Mae’s wish.
Ruby Mae’s Wish also lucky enough to have been able to have their very first stall selling Ruby Mae’s Wish merch at the bull sale, which went very well.
